Dearest beloved, what I am about to write about doesn’t necessarily come easy… You know, those concepts in life we love to romanticize about, but when you’re actually living them, they are hard.
Work–life balance? Hard.
Making decisions that affect your future? Hard. Walking away from things, people, patterns you once belonged to? Terrifying. Letting go of comfort, even when it’s slowly killing your calling? Almost impossible.
And yet, this is where we live.
Not in theory. Not in quotes.
But in the everyday collision between responsibility, exhaustion, faith, fear, and hope.
Lord knows, we walk straight into these challenges every single day. But here’s the miracle we forget when we’re tired:
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for His mercies never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness.”
(Lam 3:22–23)
New. Every. Morning.
Not recycled mercy.
Not leftover grace.
New mercy.
And the God who gives new mercy is the same God who specialises in moving people from impossible to possible.
That’s why when Jesus stands before the man at the Pool of Bethesda, after 38 years of waiting. He doesn’t ask a small question. He asks the confronting one.
“Do you WANT to get well?” (John 5:6)
Not “Do you need healing?”
Not “Do you deserve it?”
But, do you want it? Because healing changes everything.
Healing costs you your excuses. Healing requires movement. And then Jesus says the unthinkable:
“Pick up your mat and walk.”
Wait, pick it up?
The very thing that carried your limitation? The evidence of your past? The place you learned to survive? Yes. Pick it up…
Don’t leave it behind as if it still owns you. Carry it as proof that what once defined you no longer controls you. And then… walk.
Stand up because when God commands, He doesn’t confuse. When He speaks, it’s not vague. He points you in the right direction. Pick up. Move forward. Go.
The time has come.
You deserve more, not because you earned it, but because He is good. Because mercy has spoken. Because grace has made a way.
This is not the season to lie back down on familiar mats.
This is not the moment to negotiate with fear. Come on.
Come forth. Let’s build what obedience unlocks. Let’s walk where faith leads. Let’s believe that new mercy means new movement. Stand up. Pick it up. And go. Just move.
We’re rebuilding now…
Love
