This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” (Deu 30:19)

Let’s pause for a second and really think about this:

God Himself is offering us a choice. Not just between meh and maybe, or between fine and better… But between *life and death.*Good and evil.* *Darkness and light.*

This isn’t poetic fluff or a vague metaphor. It’s the very real, day-by-day, breath-by-breath reality of our faith walk.

Every day, you choose, Heaven is literally watching. The offer is on the table. God says: “Choose life.” But what does that even mean?

It means when you forgive instead of staying bitter, you choose life. When you speak truth rather than twist it, you choose life. When you obey instead of rebel, you choose life. When you come into the light and leave behind the shame of secrecy, you choose life.

Here’s what the Bible says, side by side:

*God* gives life in abundance (John 10:10)

The enemy steals, kills, destroys (John 10:10)

*God* Speaks truth (John 14:6)

The enemy is the father of lies (John 8:44)

*God* brings freedom (Gal 5:1)

The enemy enslaves (Rom 6:16)

*God* gives peace (John 14:27)

The enemy sows fear & confusion (1 Cor 14:33)

*God* calls by name (John 10:3)

The enemy accuses day and night (Rev 12:10)

*God* Heals & restores (Ps 147:3)

The enemy devours (1 Pet 5:8)

*God* Plans to prosper (Jer 29:11)

The enemy leads to destruction (Matt 7:13)

It’s all there. Crystal clear. The *nature of God* and the nature of the enemy stand in complete opposition. You’re not just choosing between two options.

You’re choosing between *two kingdoms.*

And just when you think God’s goodness couldn’t get any deeper, He drops this gem:

“I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places…” (Isai 45:3)

Wait, what? Treasures… in the darkness? Yes! Because God doesn’t just meet you in the light. He meets you in the dark too.

Sometimes the very thing you fear, the season you avoid, the silence you dread, holds a treasure God is waiting to reveal. But not just to anyone. No, this is sacred treasure. *Reserved for seekers.* Reserved for you.

Why is it hidden?

Because our human hearts couldn’t handle all of His glory at once. Because the deep things of God are not microwaved, they’re marinated.

They’re discovered through *seeking,* through sitting, through *surrendering.*

You want to see what others miss? You want joy unshakable? Peace that passes understanding? Wisdom that doesn’t come from textbooks or TikTok? *Then seek Him.*

“You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart.” (Jer 29:13)

And when you do, He will show up. He will hand you keys to *secret places*, He will flood your soul with understanding, and He will change you forever. 

There is no neutral zone in this.

You’re either *aligning with life* or giving *space to death.* Choosing truth or tolerating lies. *Walking in light* or *sitting in shadows.*

God is extending an invitation:

*Choose life. Choose light. Choose Him.*

And when you do, you’ll find treasures that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined.

Choose wisely. Choose fully. Choose life.
