Hi, I’m Vicky Ludick — mom of seven beautiful children (yes, seven, including a pair of stunning twins), wife to a wonderful husband who also happens to be the Pastor of Grace Family Church, and a woman who’s juggling life, business, ministry, motherhood, and the occasional forgotten load of laundry.

Now, I’d love to tell you that I wake up each morning like the Proverbs 31 woman — with flawless hair, folded laundry, a full devotional done before dawn, kids quoting Ephesians over breakfast, and my husband rising up to call me blessed while I wave him off to work like the cover of a Christian family magazine.

But let’s be real.
Absolute fail.
I am not her. Not even close.

The truth? I dream of being her. But most mornings, I wake up with a prayer on my lips and a toddler’s sock in my coffee.

What I am is a woman deeply in love with Jesus Christ. I’m doing my best to live fully in His grace, one messy, beautiful step at a time. I’m a full-time businesswoman — I own Elevate Namibia, a project management and labour consulting company — and I recently completed my Bachelor’s in Theology (cue the celebratory snacks!). I also studied law back in the day, because yes, I do enjoy a good legal argument — especially if it ends in snacks.

My life is busy. It’s loud. It’s full of crayons, contracts, and kingdom work. But through it all, God has been gracious — giving just enough light for the step we’re on, as Stormie Omartian once said. And I’m leaning in, step by step, trusting that He’s leading me into the ministry He’s designed just for me.

So why this blog?

Because I believe in real talk, biblical truth, and holy humor. I want this space to be one where we can laugh, learn, and sometimes just cry it out — but always come back to the Word of God. My heart is to write to you honestly, to dig into our daily lives and find the gospel truth underneath it all.

And for today, here’s a little encouragement:
Our lives are often messy and overwhelmingly busy — but busyness can lead to barrenness if we’re not careful.
So, pause. Even if it’s just 20 minutes today, find yourself a corner and sit at His feet.
Even if it’s your first time, open your Bible and ask the King of Glory to breathe on you — because all Scripture is God-breathed(2 Timothy 3:16), and He is waiting to meet you right there.

This journey is just beginning, and I’m so glad you’re here for it.
Let’s be real. Let’s be rooted.
